Solignum Trussguard Aqua Water-Based Liquid Wood Preservative 1L

Description 

Solignum Trussguard Aqua is a water-based liquid wood preservative that penetrates into wood eradicating & protecting against termites and wood-boring insects. For use on roof timbers, rattanware, plywood, stairs, decorative paneling, joinery, and furniture replacement timbers. Preparation 

Wood should be bare, dry, and free from paint, varnish, polish, dirt, and mold which would prevent penetration of the fluid. Cutting, polishing, or drilling of timber should be completed before treatment. Remove or protect roof felts, electrical wiring, etc., and cover water tanks before treatment. Preservatives will not penetrate wood that is wet. 

End grain and rough-sawn timber will absorb more preservatives than a smooth surface. 

Direction For use 

• Ensure adequate ventilation in the workplace and wear protective clothing and equipment, e.g. Goggles, PVC gloves, etc. during application. 
• Ready to use. Dip (at least 10 minutes), brush, or coarse low-pressure spray application can be used. 
• Allow treated timber to dry for 1-2 days before applying as "Solignum Finish".
• Once the timber is dry, knotting, fillers, glues, and paints (water and oil base) may be used as normal.
• Allow to dry fully (1 week) before relaying carpets, flooring, or roof insulation.. 
• If possible, use an impervious lining on floors to cover the treated area. 
• Trussguard Aqua should be applied to clean dry bamboo, timber, and rattan ware by brush, coarse spray, or dip treatment apply 3 coats if necessary to achieve coverage of 4-5 square meters per liter of preservative, or by immersing timber for at least 10 minutes. 
• The uptake of preservatives and long-term performance will be improved by longer immersion times.

Storage 

This product should be stored in a secure, cool, dry, and well-ventilated place in its closed original labeled container. Ensure that accidental spillage does not contaminate the environment through sufficient safety measures. 

Precaution  

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Beware of spray drift, do not inhale the mist.
• Do not spray on human beings, pests, plants, utensils, and areas where food is prepared.
• Do not apply this product in or on electrical equipment due to the possibility of shock.
• Toxic to fish, aquatic life, and reptiles.
• Do not spray within or near aquariums or fish ponds.
• Do not use the empty container for another purpose.
• Do not use the treated materials e.g. furniture, timber rattan, etc as food or water containers.
• Avoid excessive application, and do not use it in a room for a pregnant, baby, ill, or sensitive person. 
• Do not eat, drink, or smoke while applying.
• Avoid any contamination of any water supply with this product, empty container, or treated materials. 
• This material & its container must be disposed of in a safe way.
• Do not enter the treated area for 24 hours and ensure the area is well ventilated. 

First Aid 

• Irritating eyes and skin, using clean water to wash splashes from skin or eyes immediately.
• Harmful, do not swallow. If swallowed, do not attempt to induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to the victim. 
• Seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
• No specific antidote, treat symptomatically.
