Obaproof Skim Coat 165 Base 25KG (White/Grey)

Description

Obaproof Skim Coat 165 Base is a ready mixed mortar formulation of cement, limestone powder, graded silica sand, and chemical additives. It is specially developed to give a whiter and brighter surface by patching up pinholes and uneven surfaces in the wall and ceiling. Obaproof Skim Coat 165 Base normally used as a base coat together with Obaproof Skim Coat 168 Finish a much smoother surface finish.

Mixing

Add Obaproof Skim Coat 165 Base or Obaproof Skim Coat 168 Finish to the recommended amount of clean water by weight. Refer to the table for recommended mixing ratio. An electrical mixer is recommended to stir for about 5 min to obtain a homogeneous paste.

Application

Obaproof Skim Coat can be applied to a wide range of substrates such as:

• Plaster surface
• Concrete wall and ceiling
• Lightweight block wall
• Hollow block wall
• Lightweight panel & calcium silicate brick wall

Preparation

The substrate must be clean, free of dust, oil grease, etc. If an uneven surface with depth difference more than 5mm, a mortar plaster is recommended to be used.

Storage

Storage life of Obaproof Skim Coat is 6 - 9 months if stored in a cool and dry location.

Precautions

• Avoid eye and skin contact as the product is alkaline. In case of eye contact, flush with plenty of water for at least 15 min.
• Seek medical help immediately.

Note

• Do not add any foreign substance other than water to this pre-mixed product.
• Not to be applied on painted surfaces.
