Uses
SikaLatex®-118 is a high quality emulsion that substantially increases the qualities of cement mortars such as:
▪ Thin layer patching mortars
▪ Renders
▪ Floor screeds
▪ Concrete repair mortars
▪ Abrasion resistant linings
▪ Tile fixing mortars
▪ Masonry mortars

Application Method / Tools
▪ The concrete must be clean, sound and free of all loose and friable material, cement laitance, oil and grease, etc.
▪ Absorbent surfaces should be saturated thoroughly with clean water.
▪ Add SikaLatex®-118 directly to fresh cement to create a soft creamy bonding agent.
▪ To improve renders, plasters, repair materials, tiling adhesives, etc. add SikaLatex®-118 directly to the mix.
▪ It is not recommended to dilute SikaLatex®-118.
▪ Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be mechanically removed.

Important Considerations
▪ Renderings and floor toppings should be allowed to cure appropriately.
▪ This can be achieved with the application of a curing compound such as Antisol® or with other curing practices such as covering with polythene sheets or damp hessian.
▪ Avoid excessive air-entrainment through over mixing.
▪ Never use neat SikaLatex®-118 as a bonding agent – always add cement and sand.
