Description
• Mapei Mapeset 111 is a high-performance, two-part, latex-based adhesive and mortar additive used for tile and stone installations. It's designed to enhance the bond strength, flexibility, and moisture resistance of cementitious tile setting materials.
• This product is commonly used with thin-set mortars, providing better adhesion for tiles to a variety of substrates, including concrete, cement backer board, and plywood surfaces.
• Mapeset 111 is often preferred in areas subject to moisture or temperature changes due to its ability to improve the overall durability and longevity of the installation. It also helps in preventing cracks and shrinkage during curing.
• The product is ideal for both residential and commercial tile applications.

Some application examples
• Ceramic and Porcelain Tile Installation:
   - Walls and Floors: Mapeset 111 can be used to install ceramic and porcelain tiles in both residential and commercial environments. It is ideal for areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces.
• Stone and Mosaic Tile Installation:
   - Natural Stone: This adhesive can be used for installing marble, granite, and other natural stone tiles, providing a secure bond even in demanding environments.
   - Mosaic Tiles: Mapeset 111 can be applied for laying mosaic tiles on walls or floors, including intricate patterns that require a strong adhesive with a fast-setting nature.
• Underfloor Heating Systems:
   - Heated Floors: This product is often used to set tiles over underfloor heating systems, as it offers flexibility and good thermal resistance for areas with temperature variations.
• Commercial and High-Traffic Areas:
   - Shops, Offices, and Public Spaces: It is suitable for commercial spaces where quick installation and durability are important. It ensures strong adhesion to substrates that may be exposed to frequent wear and tear.
• Exterior Applications:
   - Outdoor Areas: Mapeset 111 can also be used for installing tiles in exterior environments such as patios, terraces, and balconies, where it can withstand weather changes and moisture exposure.
• Substrate Types:
   - Concrete and Cement-Based Surfaces: This adhesive is suitable for bonding tiles to concrete, cement boards, and other masonry substrates.
   - Drywall and Plasterboard: It is compatible with drywall and plasterboard, making it useful for interior tiling projects.
• Fast-Setting Repair Work:
   - Time-Sensitive Projects: Since Mapeset 111 sets quickly, it is a good choice for repairs or renovations that require minimal downtime, such as in commercial spaces that need to be operational as soon as possible.

Recommendations
• Do not mix Mapeset 111 improperly: Avoid using incorrect proportions of the components. The correct ratio is crucial (usually a 1:1 ratio by weight for resin and hardener). Using too much hardener or resin can result in improper curing or reduced strength.
• Do not apply Mapeset 111 on unprepared surfaces: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants like dust, oil, grease, or old adhesives. Failure to properly prepare the surface can affect the adhesive bond.
• Do not use Mapeset 111 in extreme temperature conditions: Avoid applying Mapeset 111 in temperatures lower than 10°C (50°F) or higher than 30°C (86°F). Extreme temperatures can affect the curing time and adhesion properties.
• Do not use Mapeset 111 for areas exposed to constant moisture or direct contact with water: Mapeset 111 is not designed for areas with continuous water exposure or immersion (like swimming pools or wet areas). For those applications, consider other Mapei products specifically designed for wet environments.
• Do not use Mapeset 111 with incompatible substrates: Avoid using it on surfaces that are not compatible with epoxy adhesives, such as rubber, some plastics, or highly flexible surfaces. Always check manufacturer recommendations for suitable substrates.
• Do not exceed Mapeset 111 the working time: Mapeset 111 has a limited working time once mixed (usually around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on temperature). Don’t let the adhesive sit too long before applying it, as it will begin to set and will no longer be effective.
• Do not cover Mapeset 111 before curing: Don’t cover the applied tiles before the adhesive has fully cured, as this can compromise the bond. Ensure the adhesive has fully hardened according to the recommended curing time.
